Our story
How Bella Trattoria got here
Chef Lorenzo Rossi crossed the Atlantic with his family and his grandmother's pasta board in 2008. He opened Bella that same year in a Chelsea warehouse where the brick still smells faintly of flour. What set Bella Trattoria apart from the start was a refusal to treat the basics as afterthoughts — doing the careful, unglamorous work that earns trust, and treating every client the way the founders wished they had been treated. 18 years and more than 2800 clients later, that conviction still runs Bella Trattoria. The team has grown, the work across New York has too, but the promise is unchanged.
